For years, the value of a rangefinder has been determined by its capacity to measure distance. The focus was on pushing boundaries and reaching farther. But now, we're stepping into a new era of rangefinding technology, where it's not just about how many miles you can range. In this new landscape, the RX-5000 TBR/W is leading the way for the modern hunter.

It combines an extremely accurate 5,000-yard ranging performance with the ability to drop location pins right to your phone using the Leupold Control app and popular maps like onX Hunt. So whether you’re outlining the perfect approach for your next stalk, marking your game’s exact location, or setting up a course of fire at the range, wayfinding powered by a rangefinder puts you in complete control.

RANGEFINDING FOR THE MODERN HUNTER

LOCATION PINNING RIGHT TO YOUR PHONE

Imagine being able to range a target and instantly have its location appear on your smartphone. This is now possible with the RX-5000 TBR/W's pinning feature and the Leupold Control app. By aiming, ranging, and pinning, you can mark waypoints on digital mapping systems like onX Hunt, Google Maps, and Apple Maps, simplifying tasks like scouting and backcountry navigation.

But before you can drop pins accurately, you'll need to calibrate the compass inside the RX-5000 TBR/W. In fact, calibrating at the start of every outing is essential to prevent environmental factors from affecting your pins. Regardless of where you hunt, whether it's in the wide-open West or the hardwoods back East, you'll need to adjust to the magnetic field of each location.

“A rangefinder is an incredibly important tool to have with you in the field–but what we’ve done with the RX-5000 TBR/W shows just how valuable it can be as a wayfinding or navigational tool too.”

Eric Overstreet, Technology Product Line Manager for Leupold & Stevens, Inc.

ENHANCED OPTICS AND LONG-RANGE PERFORMANCE

Speed, accuracy, and advanced features may be the hallmarks of a quality rangefinder, but ultimately, performance comes down to the optical system. That's why we equipped the RX-5000 TBR/W with best-in-class ranging performance and an 8x magnification, enabling hunters and shooters to see and engage distant targets with precision.

The new Long Range mode unlocks extremely accurate 5,000-yard performance on trees and animals and even farther on reflective targets. Just stabilize the RX-5000 TBR/W with a tripod and the included saddle mount before you put it to work, as even the slightest movement can impact your readings.

We also equipped the RX-5000 TBR/W with a bright red OLED display, ensuring precise readings in any lighting condition, and a waterproof housing to shut out moisture, including rain, snow, mud, and sleet. So, no matter how tough the conditions get, it’ll never let you down.

Extend your reach up to 3 miles using Long Range mode, a tripod, and the included saddle mount.

A RANGE MODE FOR ANY SETUP

A little versatility goes a long way in the wild, and the RX-5000 TBR/W delivers it with three distinct ranging modes: TBR, LOS, and LONG. You can access these modes through the rangefinder's internal menu or the Leupold Control app, allowing you to adapt to almost any situation.

True Ballistic Range (TBR) Mode: TBR mode contains four functions (CDS, MIL, MOA, or TRIG) and uses 25 selectable ballistics groups to calculate precise shoot-to-ranges of up to 800 yards, taking into account factors such as distance, angle, and bullet characteristics. This mode can also help you calculate 10-mph wind holds.

Line of Sight (LOS) Mode: For straightforward distance measurements, LOS mode is the option you want. It provides clear, straight-line distances without accounting for inclines or declines.

Long Range (LONG) Mode: Similar to LOS mode, Long Range mode doesn't consider inclines or declines when measuring distance. However, it can extend the reach of the RX-5000 to 5,000 yards on trees and animals and even farther on reflective targets.
