Features
4:1 Zoom Ratio
A 4:1 zoom ratio strikes the perfect balance between weight and versatility, giving you plenty of magnification options without weighing you down. Model magnification ranges are available in powers of 4x: 1-4.5, 2.5-10, 4.5-18, and 8-32.

Leupold’s Professional-Grade Optical System offers unmatched light transmission that’s designed to outperform in the most challenging lighting conditions, industry-leading glare reduction for a clear image in harsh, direct light, and the resolution and clarity that professional guides and shooters demand in the field.
Precision Side Focus
The side focus adjusts the scope's parallax, making the reticle appear more clear and have less perceived movement when you're shooting at different distances. (available on select models)
1/10 MIL or 1/4 MOA Adjustments
The available 1/10th MIL (M5C3) or 1/4 MOA (M1C3) click windage and elevation adjustments provide precise and repeatable dialing for any shooter.
M5C3 or M1C3 ZeroLock® Adjustment Dials
M5C3 ZeroLock® Adjustment dials are available on select models and provide up to 30-MILs of adjustment in 3 revolutions and 0.1 MIL clicks. Visual and tactile revolution indicators ensure you don’t get lost in the travel. The ZeroLock® feature prevents inadvertent adjustments and ensures accurate return to zero.
M1C3 ZeroLock® Adjustment dials are available on select models and provide up to 71.5MOA of adjustment in 3 revolutions and 1/4 MOA clicks. Visual and tactile revolution indicators ensure you don’t get lost in the travel. The ZeroLock® feature prevents inadvertent adjustments and ensures accurate return to zero.
Motion Sensor Technology (MST™)
Motion Sensor Technology (MST™) extends battery life by automatically deactivating illuminated reticles after five minutes of inactivity and then reactivates instantly as soon as movement is detected. (available on illuminated models)
Electronic Reticle Level
The Electronic Reticle will flash when the scope isn't level, promoting more accurate long-range shots. It can also simplify the mounting process. (available on illuminated models)
Removable Throw Lever
The removable, low-profile throw lever makes changing magnifications quick and easy. It includes a thread protector plug to use when the lever is removed.
First or Second Focal Plane Reticles
First focal plane (FFP) reticles change size as you adjust the magnification, ensuring the reticle subtensions (distance between marks) remain accurate at any power. Second focal plane (SFP) reticles stay the same size throughout the magnification range, making them easier to see at lower power but subtensions are only accurate at one specified magnification. FFP is ideal for long-range precision shooting where range estimation and holdovers are critical, while SFP is favored for hunting and shooting at known distances.
Waterproof, Fogproof, & Shockproof
Leupold pioneered modern waterproof and fogproof technology using advanced internal gasses and sealing methods that withstand extreme temperatures, elevation changes, and shocks, so the internals of the optics stay moisture free and crystal clear for life.
30mm or 34mm Maintubes
Instead of using a 35mm maintube, like the Mark 5HD, the Mark 4HD opts for a more streamlined design, but offers the same level of performance. This design choice allows for compatibility with a broader range of mounts.
