Leupold & Stevens, Inc., provider of the world’s most rugged, lightweight, and clear sport optics, is pleased to announce that the company’s Pro Shooters dominated the Precision Rifle Series’ 2021 Armageddon Gear (AG) Cup, held Dec. 10-12 at the K&M Training Facility in Finger, Tenn. Leupold team members combined to earn $41,000 of the over $70,000 in cash payouts available at the invite-only match, while team member Chad Heckler ultimately won the AG Cup title.

The AG Cup hosted 36 of the world’s top precision rifle shooters, all vying for both one of the circuit’s most prestigious trophies and a chance to claim one of the match’s cash prizes. Participants were eligible to qualify based on performance throughout the 2021 PRS season. Six members of the Leupold team were invited to the event.

Shooters were challenged across 20 stages over three days of competition, with a $1,000 bounty per stage and $30,000 available to the AG Cup champion. Only 21 shooters were allowed to advance to day two, and only 15 progressed to day three. Of those 15, three were Leupold Pro Team members, including Heckler and fourth-place finisher Francis Colon.

“This is the culmination of an unbelievable year, and I couldn’t have done it without the incredible support Leupold has put behind me,” Heckler said. “Leupold products are all about performance, and that’s helped me compete at the elite level that events like the AG Cup demand.”

All six competing members of the Team Leupold shot the Mark 5HD riflescope with the new PR2-MIL reticle at the AG Cup. Developed with input from the country’s top competitors and professional shooters, the PR2 reticles are specifically designed for long range speed and precision. Two styles are available: the PR2-MIL and the PR2-MOA. They are available in Leupold’s Mark 5HD line, in both a 5-25x and 7-35x configuration. Leupold’s Mark 5HD riflescope has been crafted to redefine accuracy, precision, and optical performance for long-range shooters.

“We designed the PR2 reticles to excel in competition and that’s exactly what it’s been doing all season,” said John Snodgrass, Tactical Product Line Manager for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “It puts the best long-range competition reticle in the best long-range competition riflescope on the market.”
