Leupold & Stevens, Inc., provider of the world’s most rugged, lightweight, and clear sport optics, is pleased to announce that it has partnered with former British Special Forces member, record breaking cyclist, author, and motivational speaker Dean Stott.

Known by many simply as “The Frogman,” Stott served in Britain’s Special Boat Service (SBS). After his military career was ended by a parachuting accident in 2011, he transitioned to the private security sector. He has gone on to become a world-leading security consultant. From corporate assignments to ultra-high net worth individuals, he has delivered security solutions at all levels, for clients including governments, presidents, and royal families. In that role, he has successfully dealt with extortion, kidnapping, civil war, pirates, and military coups. In 2014, he single-handedly evacuated the Canadian Embassy in Libya, rescuing four diplomats and 18 military personnel.

“Dean is a man who embodies the very core values that our brand is built upon,” said Bruce Pettet, President and Chief Executive Officer for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “He has unquestioned drive and an incredible passion for what he does, and his experience is unmatched. We know he’ll be an excellent partner for Leupold.”

Stott has also become a global adventurer and record-breaking cyclist, having cycled the entire 14,000-mile length of the Pan-American Highway 99 days, 12 hours, and 56 minutes–good enough to smash the previous record by 17 days.

When not adventuring, Stott spends time on the road as a motivational speaker and has recently released his first book: “Relentless.” Covering his army training, special forces operations and his record-breaking bike ride along the Pan-American Highway, it tells the story of a man who has spent his life adapting to new challenges.

“Ever since leaving the service, I’ve lived my life by the Special Forces ethos: The Unrelenting Pursuit of Excellence,” Stott said. “The brands I work with need to embody a similar creed, and Leupold absolutely does. I’m looking forward to working with their team.”
