RX-1000i TBR with DNA Digital Laser Rangefinder is rated 4.6667 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features for the money I bought one of these and found out it actually ranges out to about 1000 yards. That was a pleasant suprise. Most of the range finders on the market will not work to the distances they say they will work to. Unless you point it at a giant glass building that is. This RX-1000i unit worked off a medium sized tree at 962 yards.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice to be alive By title of this review I am amazed at the technology available to hunters in the age we live in! If I would have been able to whip this tool out, and use it back when my mentors were first allowing me into their secret hunting fraternity, I would have been given a real spot to hunt instead of the one I was given. Seems I was used as a dog instead of a hunter. but on to the amazing tool its self. This thing provides accurate info even when you expect it to fail. Distance is measured so accurately that you can critic shooting range target placement and always be correct. uphill downhill calculations are spot on and ease of use is amazing. I have not found anything to critique in the negative realm on this amazing tool. I carry an extra battery because I expect there to be some form of drain over an extended period of non-use. Well I'm wrong there also! The battery I'm currently using is the original and the indicator tells me it is still full charge. I love the fact that my 300 win mag ballistics match a pre selected program in the tool (all calibers are in there) and that it is accurate to what I actually experience at the range! This gives me the confidence to actually use the rangefinder as I expected during hunting situations. When the viewfinder tells me to hold over 8", I have still hit the 1" sticky. I have shot out to 450 yards and once again it gives me the confidence to hit a clay target. I will never be without a Leopold range finder in my arsenal of tools to hunt with. a great match for my Browning rifle topped with a Leopold VX-3. Buy Quality first and you will not be disappointed!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great features and reticle visibility. I bought this about 6 plus years ago and it really did work great for many years, the last three years the red reticle started to fade only slightly from the bottom. I thought the fading would stop but after two years, the reticle faded to the point I could not see it anymore. I sent it in to Leupold in hopes of getting it fixed, they replaced it with a new upgraded model! So I was very happy, outstanding customer service and they stand behind their products. Thank you everyone at Leupold!

High Performance Optics

True Ballistic Range (TBR)

Not only will you have accurate laser range finding capabilities to 1,000 yards (1,250 for RX-1200i TBR), with True Ballistic Range® technology matched to your rifle’s ballistics, you get the ballistics range to the target shown as a holdover point, an MOA adjustment, or the equivalent horizontal distance.

The RX™-1000i TBR and RX™-1200i TBR have Four True Ballistic Range readouts for rifle shooters:

MOA: The minutes of angle of elevation to adjust your riflescope for precise zero.

HOLD: The number of inches or centimeters to hold over or under aim point on target.

MIL: The milliradians of angle of elevation to adjust your riflescope for precise zero.

BAS: The equivalent horizontal range for which you should hold for use with your bullet’s ballistics.

Quick Set Menu

Get the settings you want fast with the Quick Set Menu®. The one-handed controls make RX® rangefinders easy to use in the field, even when your hands are sweaty or the weather is at its worst.

Advanced OLED Technology

The OLED advantage: A major advancement for the RX platform is the significant improvement in light transmission and resolution. Leupold developed a platform to support an Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) display. Instead of looking through a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) as with traditional rangefinders, where the LCD film reduces image quality by stripping out light and reducing the resolution, the OLED display is reflected into the light path of the RX optical system leaving a crystal clear image. When in early morning or late evening low-light conditions, the 3x greater light transmission over competitive LCD rangefinders will give you that extra advantage.
