Rated 5 out of 5 by from Customer Service I inherited a pair of Leupold binoculars that were used hard and put away wet, very wet. I sent them to be evaluated for repair--that was 2 weeks ago. UPS just left a package from Leupold with a replacement pair of BX-3 10 x 50's . The color rendition, close focus, clarity, brightness, ergonomics, weight, and I'm just OVERJOYED in the fact I have a GREAT pair of binoculars. I will be willing to one of my children as an heirloom along with my Zeiss birders 8 x 56. Thank you so much for the UPGRADE you guy's are the best, really! dennis j South -side Chicago

Rated 5 out of 5 by from After months of comparing, Leupold comes out ontop Reading reviews and looking at comparisons online between binoculars have their place and time, and trust me, I spent a lot of time looking over data. When it came down to it I looked at the Leupold BX-3 Mojave Pro Guide HD 10-42mm vs Vortex Viper HD 10x42mm I was going to be non partial when looking at a new pair of binoculars, I wanted to ensure the product I was getting was going to fit my preferences for hunting as well as be functional. The salesman at the store was promoting the Vortex line heavily - supporting their warranty. He brought out the Vortex Viper HD 10-42mm and I viewed both light and dark images at close and far range, I was impressed with the field of view and clarity. I must say, I did not notice the "tunnel vision" or black edges as I did with other models when I was narrowing down to these two. A nice look and aesthetically a great pair of binoculars. I did notice the focus dials a little less stiff for my liking though. I then asked to view the Leupold BX-3 Mojave Pro Guide HD 10-42mm. Right away without question the ergonomics and feel outperformed the Vipers. Equally as good was the ability to bring up comfortably to the eye and find a full field of view right away. I did notice the Pro Guide color to be heightened in both low and high light conditions. I would say clarity was slightly better as well, but this is not to place down the Vipers as it was an excellent product as well. Also for the amount of time I carry binoculars in the field the size / weight of the Pro Guides makes the most sense. After a practical test and using 20 min of the sellers time, I confidently chose the Leupold and am very pleased. If you are ever deciding on any hunting product, stay away from listening to others views, comments, reviews, marketing etc - this is your hard earned money and the number one person that needs to be satisfied is you - go in person and line up your picks side by side.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST EVER! I just received my Pro Guide HD binoculars today. I have owned many different binoculars and have to say, when I tried these out I was amazed! The view is so clear and bright and the colors are wonderful! I'm so glad I gave these a try, I have never experienced the superb quality of any binocular in my life and I've been around quite awhile. Thanks Leupold for keeping up your Q.C.! Your number one in my book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best of the 30's Walked in to Cabela's to purchase the Vortex Talon HD 10x32 or the Nikon ED 8x30 binoculars for everyday bird watching, sports, and general use such as turkey hunting. Tried both and was impressed. Looked over at the Leupold line of binoculars and for kicks asked to see the BX-3 Mojave 8x32's. I spent time looking through each pair into the darker recess aquarium area of Cabela's and then across the larger area of the store. I asked the 2 Cabela's gentlemen behind the counter to do the same and hold their thoughts until we all had viewed all 3 sets of binoculars. When we all finished viewing I asked the big question, "which pair is best"? Unanimously without hesitation the 3 of us said the "Leopold's"! We were all impressed with the level of detail the BX-3 Mojave 8x32's provided over the other two brands. Even better yet, Cabela's had put them on sale so I purchased the last 2 pair, one for my wonderful step-mother and father, and one for me. All my scopes on my rifles are Leupold, my spotting scope is Leupold...I should have known, right. Awesome job on the little binoculars Leupold!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The clarity of what your looking at I love the fact that I can see clearly when I am hunting long range game in the west Texas canyons. I bought a pair for my dad for Christmas knowing we hunt together and Iwould get to use it as well. Even at night when looking for foxes in the middle of the canyons were able to find them a lot easier and stay with them until the shot is taken

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great binoculars!! I bought these binoculars this summer for a hard to draw, high desert mule deer hunt. I was able to glass for hours on end. Good optics are extremely valuable when hunting the vast, open areas of the west. I highly recommend these to anyone looking for a quality pair of binoculars!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BX-3 Mojave 10x50 OVER All Vortex Vipers I went back and forth at Cabelas for an hour! Here's What made me choose the BX-3 Mojave: 1. No matter which way I looked these always looked batter than all of the Vortex Viper's I tried looking at... 10x42, 10x50, 12x50. The color a clarity hands down won it for me! 2. They way the feel when you put them up to your eyes is amazing! Much more comfortable then Vortex. 3. On top of all of that, the Kryptek Camo is awsome! Cannot wait to hunt South Texas this winter, also might be deploying to Afghanistan here shorty and will be taking these bad boys with me!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thorough Review I use to work in Quality Control in the largest machine shop you've ever seen.. I would inspect parts coming from China. JUNK!!! THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS QUALITY CONTROL IN CHINA. I chose Leopold because they are not made in China. The Mojaves are made in Japan. Just like my Seiko watch. They make good stuff in Japan. I also looked at the Vortex. They had good clarity but not as good as the Mojave. I could read the numbers below the barcode on the ammo boxes at Dicks easier with the Leopolds. The day Leopolds are made in China is the day they've destroyed the name. Ziess has the Terra now made in China. Well, there goes Ziess' reputation. I love my Leopold's. Can't wait to watch birds, deer, wildlife and God's beautiful creation.

Xtended Twilight Lens System

Now your hunt can reach further into the twilight than ever before possible, with our exclusive new Xtended Twilight Lens System™. It goes a step further than even the Index Matched Lens System®, using Leupold’s® index matched glass with wavelength specific lens coatings designed to optimize the transmission of low-light wavelengths. When most scope manufacturers quote percentage of light transmission, they usually mean at 550 nm, the green wavelength where the human eye is most sensitive. The challenge is that in twilight conditions, green light disappears and blue/violet light takes over. Your eye is already handicapped when it comes to seeing the blue/violet spectrum, and if your scope is cutting too much of it out, soon you won’t be seeing anything. The Xtended Twilight Lens System places extra emphasis on matching coatings to glass indices to achieve the best possible transmission of the blue/violet spectrum, without sacrificing the color balanced light transmission across the visual spectrum of the Index Matched Lens System. When we combine that with superior computer-generated optical design, lead-free lenses of unsurpassed clarity and quality, and 100 years of manufacturing excellence, you have a scope that gives you the details of low-light scenes in greater definition and luminance than any other scope in the world.
