The new-for-2019 Freedom Red Dot Sight (RDS) from Leupold & Stevens, Inc., won the Best New Product for the optics category at the 2019 Big Rock Sports New Product Showcase, held last week in Nashville.

Big Rock Sports is a world-class shooting, fishing, and taxidermy distributor that has reach throughout North America. Leupold’s Vice President of Global Sales, Scott Cain, was on-hand to accept the award from Big Rock Sports’ president of merchandising, Bob Hunter, and Chief Executive Officer, Ed Small respectively.

“Our distributors and authorized retailers alike have been excited about the Freedom series from the start – and were ecstatic to see the line add a red dot sight,” Cain said. “The entire Leupold team is confident that this is the first of many awards to come in 2019 for the RDS.”

Leupold’s Freedom, which launched in early 2018, delivers relentless reliability and elite optical performance at a price point that’s impossible to disagree with – especially given that the line is designed, machined, and assembled in the United States. The RDS joins the lineup for 2019, and is a 1x34mm red dot sight. Two models of the tubular red dot will be available: one with capped precision .25 MOA click adjustments, and one with a precision exposed BDC elevation adjustment turret for a .223 Rem. 55-grain bullet with measurements out to 500 yards. The extremely durable design delivers an unmatched rugged reliability and is designed, machined, and assembled in the United States.
