The game-changing Mark 5HD from Leupold & Stevens, Inc., will be on display – alongside a bevy of products from the company’s catalog – at the 147th NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Dallas from May 4-6.

Combining elite optical performance, rugged reliability, and user-friendly features in a package that could only be produced by leveraging the 70 years of optics manufacturing Leupold possesses, the Mark 5HD has wowed end-users throughout the industry.

“I run my optics hard, in every imaginable scenario,” said Buck Doyle, Master Sgt. (Ret.), Marine Corp. “Leupold’s Mark 5HD is not only super lightweight and durable, but its refined adjustments, advanced features, functional reticle options, and ergonomic controls make it the ideal tactical optic."

Two Mark 5HD models were launched at SHOT Show 2018: A 5-25x56 model is ideal for those seeking maximum usable magnification and a 3.6-18x44 edition that balances compactness with big-time optical performance.

Leupold’s Mark 5HD project team had one goal in mind: delivering riflescopes that had all the features long-range shooters have been calling for, in a user-friendly package. Elite professional and top level competition shooters were consulted, and the end result is an optic that provides everything necessary – in both quality and features – without the unnecessary extras that add weight and cost for consumers.

Both models deliver superior edge-to-edge clarity and extreme low-light performance. The Twilight Max HD Light Management System delivers the perfect balance of image color and contrast, light transmission, and glare management. The Mark 5HD line features 35mm maintubes for increased adjustment travel, and a high-speed power selector ring featuring an optional low-profile throw lever that provides additional leverage. As noted, they’re decidedly lightweight – the 5-25x56 weighs in at 30 ounces, while the 3.6-18x44 weighs 26 ounces. The 5-25x56 is as many as 20 ounces lighter than some of its competition. Another defining feature: the all-new M5C3 ZeroLock adjustments.

“The new adjustments are the heart of the Mark 5HD,” John Snodgrass, product line manager for Leupold & Stevens, Inc., said. “The elevation dials deliver 30-mils of adjustment in three turns, at 10-mils per turn, which will let you max out the performance of your best long-range rifle and ammunition. Visual and tactile revolution indicators are in place to make sure you don’t get lost in the travel, and the auto-lock at zero means you can’t inadvertently move the dial.”

The Mark 5HD – and all of Leupold’s new-for-2018 products – will be on display at booth #6810 in the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center for the duration of the NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits, May 4-6.
