This is my second range finder purchase in 20 yrs..Rangefinders have come a long way since then....The RX-Full Draw 2 rangefinder is by far the best purchase I've made in a long time. Guys I did the research....its simple the best choice you could make as a bow hunter. Its fast, accurate, and the antler measurement is the nxt step for quick reference on that trophy. I took one of my bucks from the wall and put it outside on a tree and set my baseline measurement @ 16"...at thirty five yards it was right on the money...cant wait for the 2016 bowseason...

Nobody else but Leupold
I have always bought Leupold for all my hunting needs, Scopes Vx6,Rangefinders and spotting scopes. Recently I was in Utah on a trophy bull elk hunt. The second morning I found myself and my son sitting on an of a mountain in a sideways rain storm for 6 hours watching at 1230 yards a possible boone and crocket bull laying down in the cedars. I could only see one side of the bulls rack so we sat waiting patiently for him to get up to see his other side. During that time I used my Leupold rangefinder numerous times to make sure of my shot. At one point into this stalk my son accidently knocked my rangefinder off the cliff and I watched as it tumbled down the high wall approx. 2000 ft down. I thought to myself ... thats gone. 3weeks ago my guide was bear hunting at the bottom of the same canyon and thought to look briefly for my rangefinder. To his and my surprise he found it. Of course it was beat and torn up. I sent it back to Leupold and a representative J Warren told me it wasn't repairable. My heart dropped, but was revived when he told me "We will just send you another one". Wow!!! I can tell you, I will continue and always purchase all of my scopes, rangefinders and anything else that works for my applications from Leupold. This is truly a great company! By the way, The bull stood up and he was a 6x6 378" bull that I dropped with my custom 7mm Reaper precision rifle with a Leupold Vx6 scope on it at 1230 yards. Thanks again Leupold for everything.

nice to be alive
By title of this review I am amazed at the technology available to hunters in the age we live in! If I would have been able to whip this tool out, and use it back when my mentors were first allowing me into their secret hunting fraternity, I would have been given a real spot to hunt instead of the one I was given. Seems I was used as a dog instead of a hunter. but on to the amazing tool its self. This thing provides accurate info even when you expect it to fail. Distance is measured so accurately that you can critic shooting range target placement and always be correct. uphill downhill calculations are spot on and ease of use is amazing. I have not found anything to critique in the negative realm on this amazing tool. I carry an extra battery because I expect there to be some form of drain over an extended period of non-use. Well I'm wrong there also! The battery I'm currently using is the original and the indicator tells me it is still full charge. I love the fact that my 300 win mag ballistics match a pre selected program in the tool (all calibers are in there) and that it is accurate to what I actually experience at the range! This gives me the confidence to actually use the rangefinder as I expected during hunting situations. When the viewfinder tells me to hold over 8", I have still hit the 1" sticky. I have shot out to 450 yards and once again it gives me the confidence to hit a clay target. I will never be without a Leopold range finder in my arsenal of tools to hunt with. a great match for my Browning rifle topped with a Leopold VX-3. Buy Quality first and you will not be disappointed!

i received my rx1000 tbr range finder as a Christmas present about 6 or 7 years back and it worked just as advertised well about 2 years back I noticed the bottom half of the image was fading I thought a old battery and replaced it but didn't help. It stilled ranged just couldn't read the bottom half, well I called Leupoid this spring and talked to a real helpful person and he said no problem send it in and we will fix it. It didn't take very long and I got not my old one but a new upgraded range finder. Couldn't ask for better service or better equipment. Thanks Leopold

Great features and reticle visibility.
I bought this about 6 plus years ago and it really did work great for many years, the last three years the red reticle started to fade only slightly from the bottom. I thought the fading would stop but after two years, the reticle faded to the point I could not see it anymore. I sent it in to Leupold in hopes of getting it fixed, they replaced it with a new upgraded model! So I was very happy, outstanding customer service and they stand behind their products. Thank you everyone at Leupold!

If you want a durable and reliable product, this is it!
I inadvertently left my Leupold rangefinder on my truck hood the other evening, as I was shooting my bow until nightfall, and didn't notice it there. The next day, in a hurry, I was traveling down the highway at over 60 mph to an appointment, when something bounced off my hood, and hit my driver side mirror. Yep, it was my rangefinder. I watched the mirror in horror as it bounced down the asphalt to a stop. Although it's a bit scratched up, IT STILL WORKS! Leupold products are well worth the investment, and I recommend them to all.

I have owned this almost 2 years. Having recently bought a crossbow it's finally getting put to the real test. After shooting 4 deer I finally switched it to bow mode. I guess that will make the readings even more accurate at close range when shooting at steep angles.
The only con I could possibly give it would be the dimmer isn't dim enough when using the last few minutes of legal light. It is bright enough to mess up your ability to see though the scope right after ranging. Instead of low, medium, high, it should probably be ultra-super low, normal and Bright.
I switched to the smallest crosshair and there is also less data displayed in Bow mode so there should be less light entering my eyeball now.

True Ballistic Range (TBR)
Not only will you have accurate laser range finding capabilities with True Ballistic Range® technology matched to your rifle’s ballistics, you get the ballistics range to the target shown as a holdover point, an MOA adjustment, or the equivalent horizontal distance.
The RX™-1000i TBR and RX™-1200i TBR have Four True Ballistic Range readouts for rifle shooters:
MOA: The minutes of angle of elevation to adjust your riflescope for precise zero.
HOLD: The number of inches or centimeters to hold over or under aim point on target.
MIL: The milliradians of angle of elevation to adjust your riflescope for precise zero.
BAS: The equivalent horizontal range for which you should hold for use with your bullet’s ballistics.

Advanced OLED Technology (RX 1000 / RX 1200)
The OLED advantage: A major advancement for the RX platform is the significant improvement in light transmission and resolution. Leupold developed a platform to support an Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) display. Instead of looking through a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) as with traditional rangefinders, where the LCD film reduces image quality by stripping out light and reducing the resolution, the OLED display is reflected into the light path of the RX optical system leaving a crystal clear image. When in early morning or late evening low-light conditions, the 3x greater light transmission over competitive LCD rangefinders will give you that extra advantage.
