Fred Eichler

Owner Fulldraw Outfitters


Fred Eichler is the owner of Fulldraw Outfitters in Colorado, where he guides 10 months out of the year for antelope, elk, mule deer, whitetail deer, bear, mountain lion, and turkey. He is the host of Easton Bowhunting TVPredator Nation, and the Hunting host of The Outfitters by Ford, all of which air on The Sportsman's Channel.

When he is not hunting or guiding, he splits his time between ranching, farming, wildlife photography, freelance writing, and trapping. Fred has worked in the hunting industry for the last 31 years, including working for Bear Archery in Gainesville, FL, managing an archery shop in northern Colorado, and working for Dart International.

On August 10, 2009, Fred harvested a Tule Elk and became the first person to complete the North American Superslam of all 29 species recognized by the Pope and Young Club with a traditional bow. He also has harvested numerous African animals with a traditional bow.

A prominent outdoor writer, Fred authored Bowhunting Western Big Game and has been a contributor to many other outdoor related books. He is the Traditional Editor for Bowhunter magazine, the Hunting Editor for Western Hunter magazine and his articles and photos have also appeared in Bowhunting World, Mule Deer Foundation, Predator Nation, North American Hunter, Muley Crazy, Buckmasters, and Traditional Bowhunter magazines.

Fred resides in Aguilar, Colorado with his wife Michele, their three boys, eleven hounds, one golden retriever, one chocolate lab, ten horses, twenty chickens, three fainting goats, a few cows, and an ugly cat.
