Prospective Long-Range Precision Competitors:

FNH USA and Leupold Stevens is proud to be the industry sponsors of the upcoming Long-Range Precision Rifle Competition. Your organization is cordially invited to compete with some of the world’s best sniper/counter sniper teams in the sniper community today. The 2010 event will be conducted at Fort George G. Meade in Maryland. The dates of this year’s event are June 7th thru June 11th 2010.

A maximum total of thirty (30) two man teams representing the finest sniper/counter sniper teams from the United States military as well as local, state and federal law enforcement communities will be in attendance.

In addition to the challenging shooting events and grueling obstacle course, the clear favorite event of the teams competing in past years, there will be a variety of related activities to add to the knowledge and skill of your team’s personnel. Various mission specific vendors will be on hand showing their latest equipment on Thursday June 10th and Friday June 11th. This year the 1st place winning team will receive (2) FN SPR A-3G rifles w/Leupold optics, 2nd place teams will receive (2) FN A-1 rifles w/Leupold optics and 3rd place teams will receive (2) FN XP .308 rifles w/Leupold optics and those teams finishing 4th to 30th will receive prizes donated by vendors at the event. Also this year’s 1st place individual shooter will receive an FNP 45 pistol as well. Competitors will also receive commemorative t-shirts and hats given by FNH-USA and Leupold as well as NTOA. Trophies will also be presented for both individual and team events in each of the multiple shooting categories of the competition.

You may register or obtain an informational booklet by contacting Sgt. Dan Weaver with the Maryland State Police at dweaver@mdsp.org or by telephone 410-382-4823. The entry fee is $ 175.00 per team, which covers the costs of weeklong beverages as well as a catered luncheon prior to the awards ceremony. This is the 16th year for this event and all proceeds have always been given to someone in need in the sniper community or to an approved nonprofit organization. Proceeds from this event from registration fees and raffle sales will be donated to the Special Forces Association (SFA) and the NTOA . On our best year we were able to donate $15,000.00 as well as send 6 Wounded Warriors on guided hunts to New Mexico, Alaska, and Missouri. A lot of the money raised for these nonprofit organizations was generated from raffle tickets that were sold for prizes donated from FN and Leupold.

Remember that only thirty (30) teams will be accepted to compete. You are encouraged to get your entries in early.

Hope to see you there,
Dan Weaver
