Using Trophy Scale™, you can determine if the game you’re viewing is the trophy size you’re looking for. It’s simple to use. The Trophy Scale is activated the same as other operating modes on the RX®-IV Boone and Crockett® Edition. Then you simply select the size of spread (in inches) that you’re looking for, and place the animal’s rack inside the brackets. The RX-IV Boone and Crockett Edition determines the distance to the animal, and then calculates the spread of the rack based on your distance from the animal. The Boone and Crockett Club® promotes selective hunting for mature big game species as a game management tool for maintaining balanced and healthy herd populations. The Club’s North American Big Game Records Program serves as a vital conservation record for documenting the success of wildlife management programs. The RX-IV Boone and Crockett Edition with its unique Trophy Scale is the ideal tool for your next big game trophy hunt.
The number to the upper left represents the Trophy Scale you selected (e.g. 21" to 29"). Place the animal’s antlers in the brackets, touching the left bracket. The next two brackets on the right measure 21" and 29" respectively, helping you judge the size of the rack. The brackets will adjust automatically to keep the Trophy Scale you selected accurate as your range changes.
A specific dot on the rangefinder reticle will blink to indicate the corresponding aim point on your riflescope’s Boone and Crockett® Big Game reticle based on the distance, angle, and ballistics of your rifle.
