A Message from Leupold’s President

It’s an honor for me to be the President of Leupold & Stevens at this time in our company’s history, and I’m fortunate to lead an organization that is special in so many ways. Not only does this company have a great heritage of family ownership, it has remained in family control since the day the founder, Fred Leupold, started the business a century ago.

Leupold® is also the only significant, American-owned and -operated optics company. Ultimately, we could not have reached this centennial without the entire Leupold family – the employees who provide the inspiration and dedication to building what many consider the best sporting optics in the world. I know the founders would be pleased with the success we have worked so hard to achieve.

Over the last century we’ve created many innovations that have become industry standards, the benchmarks by which others are judged. We have successfully earned the trust of our customers by offering optics at a good value that can be counted on to provide years of trouble-free service. We continue to build upon our founder’s belief of offering a “square deal,” which over time has built a tremendous relationship of mutual respect between this company and our customers. I would like to express my gratitude to our vendor partners, our dedicated distributors and dealers, our world-class sales force, and our industry partners for their important role in helping us achieve this historic milestone.

Finally, a very special thanks to our customers, who have trusted us with their optics needs over the last century…here’s to our next 100 years!
